M&A services highly recommended from Valero Pembroke Refinery 2012 Refining Turnaround

Valero is the world’s largest independent petroleum refiner with 19 refineries across the world. In 2011, Valero expanded into the European refining market by acquiring the Pembroke refinery in South West Wales from Chevron.

Opening in 1964, the 270,000 barrel-a-day Pembroke refinery is one of the largest, most complex refineries in Western Europe. It generates products including gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, petrochemical feedstocks and also has the ability to process difficult heavy crudes, such as those produced from the tar sands in Canada. The refineries scale, location, flexibility and logistical advantages enhance Valero’s optimisation and trading strategy in the Atlantic Basin.

In October 2012, the refinery underwent a major maintenance Turnaround at Pembroke to allow for necessary maintenance and mechanical project work. We supplied Valero with 38 people over 3 months undertaking some very challenging routine and specialist bespoke work in difficult conditions; whilst acheiving a 100% safety record. This contributed towards the safest major Turnaround completed at Pembroke Refinery.

Take a look at the letter we recently received from Valero as a thank you for our work.
