On-Site Machining Candidate Overview - Please Read Thoroughly Before Applying!

Typically, our work is carried out in the Petro-Chemical, Ship Building/Repair, Power Generation, and Steel Making Industries, but due to the nature of the business is in no way restricted to these industries alone.

The diversity of machining tasks range from: simple flange facing, to line boring stern tubes and engine bearing pockets. Our engineers have a high degree of autonomy when on-site and must be confident to liaise with Site Managers, Chief Engineers; to respond to changes in the scope of work, or engineer solutions to any unforeseen problems that may occur.

Due to the nature of the business, engineers can spend a few days, or on occasion, several weeks away from home. Any potential candidates should take this working ethos into account before applying.

The candidate will be a ‘time-served’ skilled machinist who is proficient in all general machine shop disciplines. Although training will be given, on-site machining requires the engineer to consider methods and applications not usually associated with conventional machine shop work; in essence for this role you ‘really do’ need to be an independent and innovative thinker.

If you feel you fulfil the requirements of either role, or you consider yourself capable of achieving the required standard; please submit your full C.V. (if you have previously sent us a C.V, please re-submit an updated version) stating your preference to either or both to:
