M & A Engineering Ltd carryout repairs to the entablature water jacket landings on a:

B & W 26MTBH 40 7 Cylinder, auxiliary diesel engine.

 

 

M & A Engineering Ltd were requested by Northern Marine Management Ltd, to mobilise with all possible haste to carryout an urgent repair on the Stena Seatrader while in dry dock at the Scheldepoort Yard, Holland.

 

 

Damaged Entablature Water Jacket Landing

 

The fretting that has occurred between the water jacket and entablature can be clearly seen.

 

 

M & A were able to carryout the machining work without the need to remove the cylinder studs, fuel blocks, or exhaust manifold, thus greatly reducing the down time for the ships engineers.
